|
There are various levels of training. Ground Team Member 3 (GTM 3) is the initial training level, followed by GTM2, GTM1, and finally, Ground Team Leader (GTL). You may complete the training for GTL at any age, but you may not actually serve as a GTL on an ES Mission until you are 18 years of age. There are also qualifications for those who wish to work at Mission Base, or serve on Air Crews as Mission Pilots, Mission Scanners, or Mission Observers. Mission Pilots must be 21 or older, Mission Scanners and Observers must be 18 or older. Following these levels of training, there are Branch Directors for air and ground operations. A common management hierarchy is incorporated to work CAP’s field and air operations in conjunction with other agencies to manage logistics, planning, finance and operations with the intended result of one smooth mission. To achieve each level of training there are set tasks that must be accomplished. The SQTR lists each of these tasks. A description of each task can be found in the: Ground Team Members Task Book (Affectionately known as the “Green Book”) See Lt Denise Sharp to obtain a copy of this book. You should keep a copy of your SQTR at all times, and make a copy for your ES file maintained at the squadron. Keep your file updated as you complete your training. |
