O-flight day a success for Mt. Airy cadets

08/31/2008 – On Sunday, August 31st, seven cadets from Mt. Airy Composite Squadron met at the Carroll County Regional Airport in Westminster to receive powered orientation flights (O-flights) in a Cessna.  1st Lt. Adam Donaldson and 1st Lt. Gashaw Mengstu, both CAP pilots of the Montgomery Senior Squadron in Gaithersburg, provided the flights for the day. 

Pre-flight check procedures were discussed and demonstrated, and cockpit orientations were provided prior to each flight. 

O-flight cadets were:  Chris Cook, Ashley Petersen, Sean Barker, Joshua Bowen, Austin Cirulli, Joshua Newsome, and Shiloh Lockard.
